At Brian Davies we’ve been building playgrounds for children and communities throughout North Wales and Cheshire for over 20 years. We install a wide range of play equipment, multi use games areas and outdoor gym equipment. Using a wide variety of different types of safety surfaces we aim to make our playgrounds as safe as possible. We have completed projects for many local authorities, community councils and play equipment manufacturers and all of our work is completed to EN1176 and EN1177 standards.
We use all kinds of Safety Surfaces including:
Wetpour – This surface is hardwearing and suitable for wheelchairs. It can be installed in a variety of colours with graphics and shapes making it aesthetically pleasing.
Grass Mats – These can be laid on top of grass or soil. The ground does not require much preparation work making it a less expensive alternative to wetpour, it allows the grass to grow through it and can be mowed as normal, giving it a natural appearance.
Play Bark / Cushionfall – Enviromentally friendly rustic looking surface, it’s an affordable alternative to other surfaces but requires maintenance by raking over and topping up.
Sand Pits – A natural appearing surface that allows interaction as a source of entertainment for children. Like Play Bark it’s an affordable alternative to other surfaces but requires maintenance by raking over and topping up.
